Conference in honor of Oliver Williamson

at the University Paris-Dauphine on Friday October 19th 2012, 9h30-18h30.

The University Paris-Dauphine will award on Friday October 19th a Doctorat Honoris Causa to Oliver Williamson.

At this occasion a conference in his honor will be organized in Paris, with papers given by young and well established scholars on contractual, organizational and institutional issues that were initially investigated by Oliver Williamson. The goal of this conference is to learn and discuss recent developments in the economics of governance as they are explored today on the basis of various methodologies.

Confirmed speakers are : Carmine Guerriero (U. of Amsterdam), Roger Guesnerie (Collège de France), David Martimort (EHESS & PSE), Marian Moszoro (IESE Business School, Barcelona), Jens Prüfer (Tilburg U.), Brian Silverman (Rotman Business School, U. of Toronto).

Oliver Williamson will give a speech during the formal award ceremony that will take place at the end of this one day conference

The conference will be organized under the auspice of Dauphine Research in Management and will be supported by the newly created chair on “Governance and Regulation” held by Eric Brousseau (U. Paris-Dauphine) and Stéphane Saussier (IAE Paris).
